All I can say is that it was a defining moment in my life. Being in this place put a lot of things into perspective and made me realise what is actually important in life and what is not.

Which is why, although over the last few years I might not always have remembered this, I try as much as possible to do what is right for me and not get sucked too much into the rat-race working environment.

It is really more important to do what's right for you and what makes you happy - after all, you only have one shot at this.

The pic you can see here is one of my favourite shots - it's actually in a place called the Fish River Canyon in Namibia.

A few years ago, I spent some time travelling around Southern Africa. As part of this trip, I spent about 5 days walking through the Canyon with about 9 other people.

The Canyon, which is about 95kms long, is second only in size to the Grand Canyon and I have to say that this trek was one the most memorable moments of my life. To walk from one end to the other, with a group of people who had never met each other before, in a desert that was scorching hot, to drink the water where we found it and to sleep in the open alongside the animals and other creatures that lived here, was something that is really difficult to describe.
