And before you say anything, I'm still experimenting with putting my own site together. I know it's hardly a great advertisement for my supposed skills in web development but it's the first time I've really made an effort to give it a go myself and I've not exactly had the same resources and budget to work with so HANG IN THERE! If you really wanna see examples of the stuff I've been working on, take a look at some of the links below.

hometrack mainly provides a couple of things on the web. Firstly, it's a Property Index - that is, you can go in and, by plugging in your postcode, find out how much your home is worth. Although it's only been going for about 12 months, it's establishing itself as the leading Index of property prices and trends because we gather the information from over 5,000 estate agents across the country, every month.  This means that it's the most up-to-date information available.

Secondly we provide an online management tool that allows you to manage the process of selling your house or flat by linking you directly with the best agents in your area and allowing you to manage and communicate with them online.

It's pretty cool, so if you get the chance, go take a look.

Prior to this I headed up the marketing for a website called Vitaminic. Vitaminic is a digital music site which means that people can upload and download MP3 music files to/from the site and bands, artists and record labels can manage the sales of their own music. With local language sites in 6 countries, it is probably the leading European digital music site at the moment.

Before that I spent my time at various new media advertising and marketing agencies doing the account handling thing. Which meant that I spent a lot of time helping clients build and manage their Websites and then put together strategies for how they should promote this both in the online environment and through the more traditional forms of communication.

Now of course, having 'seen the light' and moved across to be 'a client', I spend a lot of time building and establishing the hometrack brand and trying to pass on the same enthusiasm and excitement I had when I first came across this company.

I'm still enjoying it all at the moment, but you know, if it all goes pear-shaped, there's always a beach bar in....zzzzz!!
OK - I've been involved in the whole Internet and Web thing since about 1994 and have had the fortune of working on some of the biggest sites around for some of the biggest compnanies.

I've got to say though that some of it has been pretty stressful and really not worth killing myself over, so I'm now involved in the creation of online products for a company that aint just a dotcom that's likely to go the way of many others - so far, touch wood it's been fun, so we'll just have to wait and see.

I now actually work as Marketing & Content Manager for a company called hometrack in Chelsea, London.

That means that I'm responsible for the website development and the marketing of the site and of the other products/services we provide.
about what i do
These are just some of the websites I've been involved in and managed the development and marketing for.
Take a look and see what you think.
(of course, apart from the Hometrack site, they may have changed since I was involved so I'm not saying that what you see now is actually my work ;-))
